The River Clyde
The River Clyde is a river that flows into the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. It is the eighth-longest river in the United Kingdom and the second-longest in Scotland. Traveling through Glasgow, it was an important river for shipbuilding and trade in years gone by. Clyde shipbuilding came to the fore during the early 20th century with massive output during the First and Second World Wars.
Our River Clyde apartments are predominantly located on Clyde Street which lies to the south of the City Centre and all of our River Clyde apartments are perfectly positioned to enjoy panoramic views over the famous River Clyde. Once a hub of industrial activity, recently, a massive are regeneration has given way to recreational projects and residential buildings. Examples of the regeneration movements are the new Glasgow Harbour development and the Hydro Arena which are both easily reachable from the walkways along the river banks on the doorstep of our River Clyde Apartments. A short walk across the water is The Quay offering entertainment for families including themed restaurants, cinema complex and bowling. Alternatively you could take a short walk to Argyle Street in Finnieston and enjoy some of the fantastic selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants which are en-route to Kelvingrove Park, just ten minutes away.
