Guests often have many questions when choosing a Serviced Apartment for their visit to the City.  This article should hopefully encapsulate all of the most common questions and allow you to make a more informed choice when deciding on accommodation in Glasgow, and in particular, with Glasgow City Flats.  If you have any further questions, please contact us directly using the details at the bottom of this page.  We hope you have an enjoyable stay in bonnie Glasgow.

 1) Can I arrange for a late check-out?

Yes! Our normal check-out time is 10:30am however, if you wish to take the morning easy and check-out at 12pm, we can arrange this for an additional cost of £20. Please let us know as early as possible though so that we can inform the cleaners of your requirements and arrange for them to come to your apartment a little later.

2) Is there any place that I can leave my luggage if required?

Guests are welcome to leave luggage at our office during opening hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) if they arrive before normal check-in or if they have a later flight or train. Please contact our office for more information and to arrange this.

3) I’m arriving out of office hours – how do I arrange to collect my keys?

It is important that you communicate your arrival times with us as soon as possible. A representative will meet you at the apartment entrance at a pre-arranged time.  Normal check-in is between 2:30pm and 8pm and any check-ins after this time incur a late check-in fee of £20 (for arrivals between 8pm and 10pm) and £30 (between 10pm and midnight).

4) Do the apartments come with parking facilities?

Most of our apartments come with one private car parking space which you can add to your booking for an additional cost of £7 per night. Upon arrival we will show you exactly where the car parking space is and how to access the car park.  If your apartment does not come with a private parking space, we can provide you with discounted parking vouchers for a nearby multi-storey car park for you to use for the duration of your stay.

5) Can I smoke inside the apartment?

You are NOT allowed to smoke inside any of our apartments or buildings. If guests are found to be smoking inside the apartment, a cleaning fee of £100 will be applied to your reservation and you will be asked to vacate.

6) Are pets permitted inside the apartments?

We do NOT allow pets inside any of our apartments.

7) Do you accommodate Hen/Stag parties?

We do NOT accommodate or allow any hen/stag parties or events of any nature inside our apartments.

8) Do we have to pay for gas/electricity/utilities/Wi-Fi?

No! All of these costs are included within the price of the rental.  All that we ask is that guests are conservative in the use of electricity inside the apartment and that all lights and heating are turned off when not in use.  Wi-Fi is also included within the cost of the rental and connection details are found inside the apartment.

9) How often will my apartment be serviced by your cleaners?

We provide a weekly cleaning service to guests who are staying for a period of longer than 8 nights. Included in the weekly cleaning service is a light clean of the apartment, replenishment of small toiletries and a change of bed linen and towels.  Please contact us in advance if you have any access restrictions.

10) Can you clarify the sizes of UK beds?

Beds in the UK are sized differently to those in various other locations around the world. Our standard UK bed sizes are as follows:

12) Where can I try Haggis in Glasgow?

Café Gandolfi is known for its first class Scottish cuisine and Haggis is a signature dish on the Classic’s Menu.  Set amongst the elegant streets and stylish buildings of the Merchant City, Café Gandolfi is definitely worth a visit for those wishing to taste the infamous Scottish dish in the heart of the City.

13) Can I travel to Edinburgh easily from the apartments?

All of our apartments are located within walking distance to public transport options which can connect you to the Capital in as little as 40 minutes. From Queen Street Station, there are trains to Edinburgh every 15 minutes.  Alternatively, you can take a bus from Buchanan Bus Station which will take you to the Capital in around 1 hour.

14) How far is the airport from the City Centre?

Glasgow International Airport is around a 20 minute drive away from the City Centre however, we often advise guests arriving on international flights that it will take around 1.5 hours to deplane, clear customs, collect luggage and wait on a taxi to the City Centre.
